Animal Services

Animal Services protects the health and safety of persons in Georgetown from animal nuisances and dangers and promotes animal welfare in our community. Officers patrol the city, proactively enforcing City Code relating to animals and responding to a variety of calls for service. Animal Services also has responsibility for the care and disposition of homeless pets in the community. The Division is staffed by Animal Control Officers, Shelter Technicians and a Shelter Manager and overseen by the Animal Services Director.
