Employee Safety
It is the mission of the City of Georgetown to provide the necessary active leadership and complete support in order to develop and maintain:
- A safety program designed to prevent human suffering, pain, and economic loss from workplace accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- A program to provide, insofar as possible, a workplace free from recognized hazards by adherence to federal, state, and local safety regulations and standard industry safe work practices.
- A workforce aware of the workplace hazards that confront them, and aware of their safety responsibility to themselves, their fellow workers, the City of Georgetown and the citizens of the community.
- A program to encourage the incorporation of safe work practices into each and every phase of our operations and to ensure the security, protection, and well being of personnel and property at all times.
The City supports the right of each employee to a safe and healthful workplace. We call upon all employees to do their part to make it so.
