Animal Services Overview
The Animal Services Department provides Animal Sheltering services and Animal Control for City of Georgetown residents. Services are only provided inside the city limits of Georgetown
The Animal Shelter and Animal Services office is located at 110 W L Walden Drive in the City of Georgetown compound across from the San Gabriel River low-water crossing bridge in San Gabriel Park.
You can reach the Animal Shelter and Animal Services office at 512/930-3592. Basic hours for the Animal Shelter and for Animal Control are Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri : 11am - 6pm, Wed closed, Sat - Sun : Noon - 4pm. The Shelter is open later on an irregular basis as staffing is available. Please ask about later/earlier hours if needed, we may be able to accommodate you. The Department provides Animal Control services earlier and later than posted hours when staff is available.
Outside the City Limits?
If you want to relinquish your pet and do not live in the city limits of Georgetown but are within the limits of Williamson County, or if you would like to find an animal in the county, the new Williamson County Regional shelter is open.
